Sadly, we do not recommend biking almost anywhere – with a few exceptions, and one being Carpinteria, CA – which is home of the world’s safest beach and some great bike lanes. Even better — you can take the train from LA and get off a few blocks from the beach. All proceeds go to making the world safe for bikes via the nonprofit the Livable Communities Initiative.
